Middle School and older (Must have prior Acting or Improvisational Studies.) CAT allows the serious beginning to intermediate actor to explore basic character construction techniques using the School of Realism training. Students will work to create a strong acting foundation by participating in “group work” as well as “one on ones” with other students and the instructor.
This hour-long class meets once a week from August-May, and is a wonderful a complement class to Drama. Please see our schedule page for full details and the ability to register for any of our classes.
This class does not participate in the End-of-the-Year Performance; the materials used in class are performed in a lab setting where students learn to evaluate each other's work.
The class uniform is: Black SAA tee shirt, black jazz pants black jazz shoes or whatever helps the artist develop character.
