Teri Khan is a professional vocalist and music teacher with 23 years of
experience in both the private and classroom settings. She has 15 years of
teaching experience in American International Schools overseas where she taught
music and voice to students from different nationalities. She received her BA in
Music/Voice Performance from Rollins College, in Winter Park, Florida. She
attended Brooklyn College Conservatory of music in NYC, completing 5 years of
music studies as well as her senior recital before moving abroad to work in
international schools. Teri is also accredited with 15 graduate credits in
Education from The College of New Jersey. She is a certified instructor for
Kindermusik classes.
Teri has won numerous vocal awards including the prestigious Concerto Competition Award for voice at Rollins College in 2000. Her other awards include certificates from the American Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh where she frequently sang the National Anthem for the Marine’s Annual Birthday Celebration, Fourth of July, and Thanksgiving ceremonies. She was selected to represent the American Embassy in Dhaka to sing in America Week and for the opening of the local American Library in Dhaka. Teri's training also includes private voice studies and musical theatre workshops with Rita Gardner, at HB studios in NYC. Among her many talents, she adds to her credits producing musicals and cabarets for charity. References upon request.
